Two sisters, Kylie Horne, 11, and Kylann Harper, 4, were abducted from a Burger King restaurant on a Sunday morning. The police immediately launched a search, considering the girls in “extreme danger.” The girls were last seen with a woman named Mikaela Harrell. An Amber Alert was issued, providing descriptions of the girls and Harrell’s vehicle, a blue/gray 2011 Honda CRV SUV, which was later swapped for a gold 2004 Lexus with included license plate numbers.
The following morning, the Columbus Police Department reported the girls safe in South Georgia. The investigation is ongoing, and potential charges may be filed against those involved. Harrell, a person of interest, had a criminal record linked to drug offenses, including methamphetamine possession, and was on parole from 2007 to 2016.
Another person of interest is the girls’ mother, Kaila Spires. The investigation continues, with more details expected to emerge.
“We are glad the girls weren’t injured and are now safe,” stated the authorities.
