In December 2023, 10-month-old Zeke Best was found dead a day after an Amber Alert was issued. His father, Jeremy Albert Best, was arrested east of Idaho Falls after a hunter reported him naked and making bizarre statements. Best was wanted for kidnapping and was also a suspect in the murder of his wife, Kali Jean Randall, found dead in Victor. Authorities discovered Zeke’s body near Best’s vehicle in an embankment. Idaho State Police, the FBI, and local agencies continue investigating. Best is held in Bonneville County Jail, awaiting arraignment. Law enforcement expressed condolences to the victims’ family as the community mourns this tragedy.
