In Strongsville, Ohio, 10-year-old Brady Snakovsky emerged as an animal hero, addressing the lack of bulletproof vests for police K-9s. Witnessing the disparity on a TV show, he established Brady’s K9 Fund, a nonprofit organization, aiming to equip police and military dogs with protective gear. Brady initiated the effort through a GoFundMe page, raising funds and writing to local congressmen for support. His dedication paid off, and to date, his fund has provided 257 dogs with vests, accumulating an impressive $315,000.
Brady’s mom, Leah, expressed pride in her son’s initiative, highlighting how he recognized the issue at just eight years old. Brady aspires to become a police officer like his stepfather, emphasizing his commitment to safeguarding others. Reflecting on his accomplishments, Brady joyfully shared, “I like seeing the smile on the handler’s face.”
