Ingredients:
- 5 lbs Russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups finely chopped onions
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 ½ cups vegetable broth
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 Tbs salt
- 2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
- 8 oz sour cream
- 3 cups cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 cup pepper jack cheese, grated
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions:
- Preparation: Preheat oven to 400°. Grease a 14 x 11½ x 2¼ baking dish.
- Sauté Aromatics: In a pan, melt ¼ cup butter, sauté onions and garlic for 4-5 minutes.
- Create Cheese Sauce: Sprinkle flour over the mix, add broth, salt, pepper, seasoning, and cream. Stir until thick, then add 2 cups cheddar. Remove from heat.
- Layering: Place ⅓ of potatoes in the dish, add ⅓ each of sour cream and cheese sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with cheddar cheese.
- Bake and Enjoy: Cover with foil, bake for 1½ – 2 hours at 400°. Remove foil 15-20 mins before done. Let sit for 15 mins. Serve and savor the cheesiness.
